Geopier Ground Improvement Specialists Serving California and the Southwest.
Western Ground Improvement installs Geopier technologies for engineers, contractors, and developers across California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Arizona.
Proven Technologies for Every Ground Condition.

Geopier GP3
The flagship Rammed Aggregate Pier system. A densely compacted column of aggregate that boosts bearing capacity in soft or weak soils.

Impact
A displacement-based ground improvement method for loose granular soils. No spoils generated during installation.

Densipact
Ground densification engineered for liquefiable soils and loose sands. A proven seismic mitigation tool for California sites.

Armorpact
Reinforced aggregate pier columns for heavier load applications and challenging soil profiles.

GeoConcrete Column
A deep ground improvement system using cementitious columns to support the highest load demands.

Slope Reinforcement Technology
Stabilization of unstable slopes, embankments, and hillside sites using engineered reinforcing elements.

A Geopier Rammed Aggregate Pier is a high-stiffness column of densely compacted aggregate installed in the subgrade using a specially designed mandrel. The pier transfers building loads through compressible soils, increasing bearing capacity and reducing settlement at a fraction of the cost of deep foundations.
Commercial buildings, industrial pads, tank foundations, embankments, infrastructure, and any structure sited on soft, loose, or liquefiable soils. Ground improvement is also a strong fit for seismic retrofit work in California and other high-seismicity regions.
Compared to driven piles or drilled shafts, ground improvement is typically faster to install, lower cost, and generates less vibration and disruption. It supports conventional shallow footings or slabs and shortens the construction schedule for many project types.
WGI installs Geopier technologies across California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Arizona, including the Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Albuquerque metro areas.
